Measuring technology project examples

Example 1
Project: "Catman"
Project area: Measuring technology
Duration: 1994 - 2004
Customer: Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik GmbH Darmstadt (HBM)

Project outline:
Catman is a product by Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik GmbH. The purpose of the programme is to control HBM’s measurement equipment and to record and analyse the measurement data in real-time. The analysis options further include mathematical calculations as well as complex graphics.
In the scope of many years of cooperation with HBM, kodes has developed different components of the Catman programme. This includes setup programmes and drivers (DLL’s) for several measurement amplifiers (16 and 32 Bit computer systems), control programmes (the most recent ones were developed in a specific Catman script language) and online documentations.

Example 2

Controlling   Measuring technology   Internet / Intranet

Internet / Intranet project example

Example
Project: "Blue Book"
Project area: Internet / Intranet
Duration: 2000 - 2001
Customer: GEA Group

Project outline:
Blue Book is a programme for recording and administration of various types of information regarding the structure of a major company group. This information, such as for example addresses, executive committee, supervisory committee, emails, field of activity, is shown in accordance with the group’s global structure:
Group, sub-group, field of activity, strategic business unit, companies and branches.
Comprehensive search and sorting functions enable fast and effective work performance.
The users can be granted different levels of access ensuring that only authorised users are able to change data. The “rest of the world” still sees the changed data in its old version until the system administrator (for whom the new data is visible) releases the respective changes.
This application is used to prepare a group directory that is updated every year.
The system is an IIS / ASP-based development.
